In 1953, Wernher von Braun published a book called “Mars Project: A Technical Tale” in which he predicted that an Elon would lead humans to Mars and crown himself Martian Emperor. In October, Elon Musk proclaimed that in 2024 humans would set foot on Mars. The billionaire believes the only way to save humanity is to colonize space. What probably didn’t know was that his destiny as sealed – not in the stars but on paper.

“If we make life multiplanetary, there may come a day when some plants & animals die out on Earth, but are still alive on Mars,” Musk tweeted

Back in October 2020 Elon Musk announced that by 2024 humans would set foot on Mars. What is crazy about this story is that in 1953 Wernher von Braun published a book called “Mars Project: A Technical Tale” which predicted plans for an Elon who would take humans to Mars and crown himself Martian Emperor.

Toby Li is the one who spotted the connection and tweeted at Elon with the news. “Speaking about destiny, did you know that Von Braun’s 1953 book “Mars Project,” referenced a person named Elon that would bring humans to Mars? Pretty nuts.”

Who was the Writer Von Braun who wrote “Mars Project: A Technical Tale,”?

Wernher von Braun was a German-born aerospace engineer. He is best known for being the lead rocket scientist of Nazi Germany, and later NASA during its early years of manned spaceflight development in America.

What is “Mars Project: A Technical Tale,” about?

The book is about von Braun’s ideas for manned space travel to Mars. It contains descriptions of missions, technical investigations and sketches that depict the design of a flyby mission which would take pictures with an infra-red camera from as close as 27 km away from the surface. The images were then processed and magnified by computers on Earth.

The Tweets Continued

Elon Responded Via Twitter to Toby Li saying “Destiny, destiny No escaping that for me.”

Then Elon asked the Twitterverse if this claim about a book about a man named Elon traveling to Mars was really true or not. Twitter user, Pranay Pathole, then provided us all with an English version of the book to verify.

The book states that “The Martian government was directed by ten men, the leader of whom was elected by universal suffrage for five years and entitled ‘Elon.’ Two houses of Parliament enacted the laws to be administered by the Elon and his cabinet.”

Yeah it’s real. This is the English transcript of the same book … But “Elon” referred by Von Braun in the book isn’t the name of the person but rather the name of the position something like an elected meritocratic president pic.twitter.com/GADiMJHxLp

What is Space X?

SpaceX is a company founded by Elon Musk. It was created with the intent to both increase space exploration and reduce costs of access, via reusability then ultimately through technologies like reusable rockets or rocket part manufacturing on Mars.

The company’s first three launches in 2008 had failed consecutively while its fourth launch success came when it delivered its Dragon spacecraft into orbit from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on December 12, 2010. SpaceX carries out most of its operations from two pads: one at Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A near Cape Canaveral; another at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California which has been leased since 2018.

Regarding their current status (2018), SpaceX was awarded an $800 million contract for launching four NASA astronauts on the Orion Spacecraft to do a multiday lunar mission.
