ST. LOUIS—-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Perficient, Inc. (Nasdaq : PRFT) Perficient, Inc. (“Perficient”), a leading global digital consultancy that transforms the world’s largest companies and brands, announced today that 22 women graduated from the Perficient Bright Paths Program. This program is a new initiative that aims to increase STEM education and provide career opportunities for underrepresented communities and communities, and close the gap in the technology industry, particularly among women and minorities.

In partnership with Strategic Education, Inc.’s Hackbright Academy, a bootcamp and software engineering program for women, the Bright Paths Program was launched in March at a pop-up campus in Detroit. The full-time bootcamp provided students with software engineering courses that focused on Python. They also learned about the consulting industry, connected with mentors, developed their own innovative applications, and were able to complete the course.

Andrea Lampert (Vice President of People, Perficient) said, “It’s been so an honor watching these ambitious ladies embrace their potential, grow their skills.” The Bright Paths Program was created to provide more opportunities for women in equitable careers through hands-on education in global communities. Each of these bright paths program graduates brought a passion and creativity to the program that is truly inspiring. We are so impressed with their energy and ingenuity and can’t wait for them to succeed in their new careers.

All graduates who completed the bootcamp received full-time job opportunities at Perficient in the software engineering/development field upon graduation. Seventeen of the graduates have joined Perficient, where they are now partnering with one the largest brands in the Detroit metropolitan area.

“We are so happy to welcome these new colleagues to Perficient. Joel Stanesa is the general manager of Perficient’s Detroit operations. “This is a talented group of people who are a great addition to our growing staff here in Michigan.” “We knew that Bright Paths students would be interested in other career options in technology, so we enjoyed helping them find job placements. There are 22 more women working in Detroit’s technology sector, and we are excited to launch additional Bright Paths Program cohorts.
