Kassia Davis Relaunches Iconic American Sneaker Brand PF Flyers

Davis, an entrepreneur and founder of KADA, a brand of new clothing featuring sustainably made, high-quality essentials for modern women, joins a small group of female executives in the footwear and sneaker industries.

Davis stated, “During my 10+ year career in the sneaker industry I learned that there were very few women who could be considered leaders for me to look up too.” “Throughout my career, my passion for branding and creative design was also evident. I have always seen the immense potential of the PF Flyers brand, and I look forward to relaunching this American classic.
PENSOLE’s first year will be led by D’Wayne Edwards, the founder, and Brand Jordan’s former Design Director. As a founding member of PF Flyers, he also joins the board. “At this stage in my career with PENSOLE I get excited about the opportunities to use sneakers to educate and inspire consumers about what is possible. Kassia’s relaunch of PF Flyers is a great step forward for our industry. Kassia is helping our consumers see the potential they have and that’s what PENSOLE’s founder D’Wayne Edwards said. The September collection will include new styles, as well as classic styles. Relaunch styles include the “Center Hi”, ($68), and “Center Lo” (58), available in black, white and red, and the “Sandlot”, ($78), in black. All styles for children will be priced at $48. The brand is based on 85 years of tradition and creates fashionable, everyday footwear that is at the forefront of comfort technology. PF Flyers was founded in 1937 by B.F. Goodrich and has been recognized as one of America’s original sneaker brands. Kassia bought the brand in 2021. The brand will relaunch its operations in Fall 2021. The Boston-based entrepreneur and designer spent 10+ years at New Balance, where she was the Apparel Product Manager for Studio, Lifestyle, as well as supporting a successful collaboration between Heidi Klum and New Balance. She was also the Strategic Account Manager for New Balance and Nordstrom’s partnership. Later, she became the Director of Direct to Consumer Marketing for New Balance’s Global Flagship Stores as well as E-commerce. Kassia left her position at New Balance to start her own brand, KADA. Kassia has strong ties to the industry and a passion for it. KADA features sustainably made, high-quality essentials for the modern woman. Kassia is still active in the New Balance charitable foundation. She is on the West End House Boys and Girls Club’s board of directors and a committee member for the Boston Winter Ball, an event that supports Corey C. Griffin Foundation. Kassia was named to the Boston Magazine’s Power List in 2019, which included 100 young, successful business people living in Boston. She has been featured in Forbes, WWD, and other publications that highlight women in business. Kassia saw a huge opportunity for PF Flyers and her extensive industry experience and relationships led her to purchase the brand 2021.
