*) (*_ At Xbox from game development to hardware designing, representation and diversity positively impact the way that we create and bring to life products that make gaming accessible and possible for all. We believe that our community’s pledge to inclusion is rooted in our roots. We are proud of where we came from, how our families and communities contributed to our growth, and that commitment is something we carry with us everywhere we go. Our culture is united by our shared sense of belonging, which spans many languages and regions, including Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Colombia. Our unique contributions to the world can strengthen us and bring us together.
Growing up as avid consumers of U.S. media and pop culture, it was so rewarding to see more Hispanic creators and their work being recognized and increased representation in media, TV, and games. Xbox Game Studios’ Forza Horizon , is an example of this. It authentically recreates Mexico as a vibrant, diverse country that celebrates its culture, beauty, geography, and history.
Members of the Hispanic/Latino community are a growing part of the tech sector and are able to share their personal stories through their work. We hope to inspire future generations to continue their meaningful journey of storytelling and creation in the gaming industry.
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Xbox it is our hope to highlight our unique voices as well as our unending pursuit of inclusion, representation and community. Here are some ways Xbox celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and how you can get involved and make an impact.
