The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies storyline will conclude with a final map. Treyarch tweeted a teaser that revealed the location and some details about this round-based map.
This tweet shows an image players will recognize if they play the Black Ops Cold War campaign. The large building shown in the photo is the Soviet military facility in Ukraine, which operators Woods and Bell used to enter in Cold War’s Operation Redlight and Greenlight mission.
A note is written on the photo that states, “Weaver. This is the place. We must take a stand. -Ravenov. “
Treyarch also revealed the new location on the map and posted two teasers via social media. Treyarch’s Instagram photo shows a similar black-and-white image of what looks like a vault.
The caption on this image says, “Kravchenko plans to open a special gateway. They want to find him. “
Another black-and-white image on Facebook shows a device similar to the one seen on Cold War’s Die Maschine map. This machine is used to open the Dark Aether portal.
The caption reads, “Omega’s next operation is already underway. They’ve been building for several months. “
Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies storyline has been a constant chase, as the CIA’s Requiem team works to stop Omega Group, who are responsible all the Dark Aether portals that have caused zombie chaos and the destruction of the planet. These notes suggest that Requiem is in a race against Omega to close a larger portal at the Ukraine training center. Story clues indicate that Omega want to harness the power and control of a Dark Aether monster.
The release date for the next round-based survival map is unknown, though Treyarch said that it would be included with Season 6. There are still 22 days left of the Season 5 battle pass, so Season 6 won’t begin until around the first week of October.
The Season 5 Reloaded Update recently added Outbreak content for Zombies. It included a new map and Black Chest world events.
