Leading technology provider will help power new women’s race to promote equality in cycling
London, UK – 14 October 2021 – NTT Ltd., a global technology and business solutions provider, is today announcing its role as A.S.O’s Official Technology Partner to Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The new race, which will launch in 2022 and for which the route is announced today, will promote the development of women’s cycling and inspire the next generation of female riders.
The inaugural race will start on the Champs-Elysees on 24th July, prior to the conclusion of the men’s race. The race will feature 20 teams of six riders and will conclude on 31st July 2022. The event uses the same codes and symbols as the men’s races to promote equality and diversity within the sport.
NTT, the official technology partner of the event, will collaborate with A.S.O. To provide rich digital experiences for fans, a technology roadmap will be implemented. Race Center will be included in this plan. This brings together social media and commentary with LeTourData. It will offer fans data-driven insights as well as AI predictions across Twitter and Instagram.
Commenting on the partnership, Marilyn Chaplin (Chief Human Resources and Sustainability Officer at NTT Ltd.) said that she was proud to participate in this historic event and support A.S.O’s efforts to promote inclusivity and grassroots cycling. This race will make a huge impact on cycling diversity and encourage more women to take up the sport. NTT has been appointed the official technology partner for Tour de France Femmes with Zwift. NTT now supports A.S.O at four events including Paris-Roubaix Femmes (Fleche Wallonne Femmes), Liege-Bastogne–Liege Femmes. NTT is also the official technology partners for the Tour de France men’s race.
