Giving Wednesday is a worldwide generosity movement that encourages millions to give, share, and celebrate generosity. This year, SurveyMonkey Contribute, powered by Momentive, can help you donate more to your favorite nonprofits and charities by doubling your impact on November 30, 2021. Your chosen charity will receive $1 for every survey you complete through the SurveyMonkey Contribute Program on Giving Tuesday.
What is SurveyMonkey Contribute?
SurveyMonkey Contribute is a program that enables individuals to donate to participating charities by completing surveys as part of our Market Research Solutions. Survey respondents can choose the charity they wish to donate through Contribute. Since the program began in 2011, we’ve donated more than $16 million to organizations around the globe and we have more to give! We can all make a difference together for the causes that we care about.
You can be set up to give back in minutes:
1. Sign up for Contribute here.
2. Complete your profile and pick a charity from our website to receive funds.
3. Complete a survey You can do another! Another! Every survey earns you $1 for your charity every Tuesday. (Every other day it earns 50 cents, which is still pretty great. )
Here are six charities doing meaningful work in their community, thanks to you and your contributions:
Ali Forney Center – “No son of mine is gay.” Those were the last words that Wilson’s dad spoke to him before slamming the door in his face. Wilson visited the Ali Forney Center’s Drop-In Center. This is the largest center for LGBTQ homeless youth in America. Wilson had an injury that was infected and needed surgery. Wilson was taken to the hospital by our case manager. We were unable to provide care and he was assigned as an emergency contact. We placed Wilson in our Emergency Housing Program after he was released from the hospital. After his release from the hospital, he moved into Transitional Housing where he began working towards his undergraduate degree. Wilson graduated college five years later and is now enrolled in law school. Just recently, he completed an internship abroad helping refugees in conflict-ridden nations. Wilson is a great example of a person who needs your support.
Community Education Partnerships – Students facing homelessness and housing insecurity experience many challenges and obstacles along their educational path–difficulties getting to and from school, frequent school changes, a lack of books and school supplies, and few long-term relationships with educators and peers, to name a few. These can lead to poor school performance as well as gaps in knowledge and skills. CEP offers academic tutors to support students in their school success. Eric and Maggie, for instance, are tutors. Eric has achieved academic success by focusing, hard work and the amazing tutoring and mentoring provided to him by Maggie. You can take surveys to support Community Education Partnerships.
Petfinder Foundation – Money donated to the Petfinder Foundation is used to prevent the euthanasia of adoptable pets by assisting animal shelters and rescue groups across North America. Penny, a senior cat suffering from health issues, was able to receive a year of free medical care and medication. A survey can save the lives of pets.
Rocky Mountain Institute – RMI is increasing access to renewable electricity and helping communities use that power to strengthen their economies. RMI was instrumental in bringing online Nigeria’s first commercial “undergrid” minigrid. This solar hybrid system is now providing electricity to 230 residential consumers, 48 commercial consumers, and 11 public consumers with a 99.9% reliability rate. In Sub-Saharan Africa where distributed electricity is essential, it allows residents to start small businesses that add value to the local economy, such as milling coffee beans and grain processing. You can support RMI by taking part in surveys.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – At 5 weeks old, Imani was in hospice declining after a brain surgery for glioblastoma, her family devastated at the thought of burying their daughter. Imani began chemotherapy and had surgery to remove her tumor. She is growing stronger and more confident every day thanks to the St. Jude doctors. St. Jude provides treatment for children with severe pediatric illnesses. No child is denied treatment due to race, religion, or financial ability. SurveyMonkey: Support St. Jude here.
UNICEF USA – UNICEF is working to get children around the world back to school safely during the pandemic. UNICEF’s big focus is ending the pandemic by equitably distributing COVID-19 vaccines to 180 countries in 2021, while continuing to respond to emergencies and providing humanitarian relief by advocating for the rights of every child. You can support their work by answering surveys.
